Posting form sending one video to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok

Overview

The client is an industrial equipment supplier. Their marketing team was uploading every product video by hand to each social platform: four apps, four captions, four rounds of waiting.

I built an internal content studio into the company website, which I also built. The team uploads the video once, picks which accounts to post to and writes the captions. A background worker then sends the video to every platform and reports each one's status.

The whole app is a single Go binary with an embedded UI and a SQLite database, deployed to one VPS by a GitHub Actions pipeline.

Highlights

  1. 01Four platform integrations behind one interface. Each platform has its own OAuth flow, upload protocol and limits: YouTube's daily quota, Meta's container-based Reels publishing, and TikTok's inbox drafts. The team sees one posting form.
  2. 02Resumable uploads. Large videos upload in chunks with tus, so a dropped connection resumes where it stopped instead of starting over.
  3. 03Posting jobs with retry. Every platform post is its own job with its own status. If one platform fails, the others still go through, and the failed one can be retried with a clear reason shown.
  4. 04Platform app reviews. I prepared and submitted the production reviews for Google (YouTube API audit), Meta and TikTok: scope justifications, privacy policy, terms and demo recordings.
  5. 05Hands-off maintenance. OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest, and a background cleaner deletes uploaded files after a set retention window while keeping the posting history.
